Brief

Optimizing the business processes and procedures of the integration and acceptance test area as well as the tasks of the project management office.

Situation

The organisation is running their integration and acceptance testing in a historical-grown and proven process. But new ways were needed to closely link strategy, goals, performance metrics and the operational work of the teams.

Our role

As a sparring partner and consultant, DI supported this process as it moved from vision to implementation of an enterprise-wide operational and analytical testing platform with advanced reporting capabilities.

Some key activities in detail:

  • Review and redesign the entire integration and testing approval process.
  • Summarize key issues and concerns to evaluate the best target state.
  • Transforming and design an efficient and transparent business process for all involved units and stakeholders.
  • Creation of a new PMO governance to setup new roles and responsibilities for the PMO, enabling more transparency across the organization and faster responses to business needs.
     
Outcomes

The Implementation of a data protection-compliant and audit-proof process design together with minimized workflows and standard tools was key factors for the new build.

With the new PMO governance, the client is creating the setup for new roles and responsibilities for the PMO function, enabling greater transparency across the organization and faster responses to business needs.
